Rick Quezada

Rick Quezada, Director of the Tigua Cultural Center of the Ysleta del Sur Pueblo, joins the XII Travelers Memorial of the Southwest, Board of Directors.

He attended the University of Texas at El Paso, 2011-2015, where he earned a Bachelor of Arts degree, in the field of Anthropology. He is presently working toward his Masters’ Degree researching for his paper on the “1680 Pueblo Revolt”.

Mr. Quezada is a Tigua Tribal Member, and an authority on the Native American culture of our region, in particular, the Tigua tribe, the oldest federally recognized tribe in Texas.

He is passionate about communicating the truth concerning historical and cultural events, and memorializing those who came before us.
